"Christ is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2)
That is an explicit statement in agreement with the implicit statement in Timothy 4:10. Also, Pope Francis declared that atheists can be saved by redemption (if I remember correctly).
I clearly don't need to point out how huge that is, but I will any way: that is really huge. That means that no one group can hold a monopoly on salvation, but that is truly is a free gift.
It seems: "we deceive ourselves" = "we make him a liar." It is as if "he" is us and we are "he." (1 John 1:8-10)
Woah! I think... the internal is God Himself. That would explain the phrase "Christ in the flesh." I understand. Thank you, Father.
For most of us, the internal self and the external self are at constant odds with each other. If the internal self can overcome the external self, then we "know fully, even as we are fully known."
Another name for the internal is the spirit. Another name for the external is the flesh.
If the flesh overcomes the spirit, if the external overcomes the internal, we die (or we may as well be dead). But if the spirit overcomes the flesh, if the internal overcomes the external, we achieve eternal life.
Ha, that is why righteousness is immortal. Because then we can bear the truth about ourselves, and our hearts will live for ever, as King David has said.
The internal self must conquer the external self. In doing so, we reign over ourselves. We are not the body, we are what the body houses. Ya might call it the psyche. Or rather, the psyche is the battle ground. We are the awareness of existence. That is, we are the notion of "I am." We are the house. I am is pure spirit. If the spirit can dominate the body, as it was intended to, then we will live the truth. We will obey God's commands. The will of I am will be done as effortlessly by the body as it is by the mind. Becoming One, then, means that the inner and outer are so in sync, that the awareness of the distinction between the two fades away. Negativity reinforces the distinction. Positivity does the exact opposite. What the flesh perceives as negativity is called "evil." When we resist not evil, when we can let go of our fear of it, we are no longer controlled by it. Should we be able to actually love our enemy, which is the fleshly experience of evil, we override the flesh by force of the spirit. By loving everything, we take away the power of the flesh. By taking away the power of the flesh, we may be liberated from it. By liberation from the flesh, we may achieve mastery over the flesh. By mastery of the spirit over the flesh, we arrive at a new earth. The new heaven was that which no longer enjoys being ruled by the flesh.
That's what "rule over all" (Thomas 2:4) was about. Moving Mountains is simply a large degree of self control.
Earth = body, Sea = emotion, Sky = mind, Heaven = spirit (???).
Indeed, the truth will set us free.
WISDOM MEANS TO KNOW THYSELF.
TO KNOW THYSELF IS WISDOM.
a creative investigation into (1) the nature of the "unnameable" & "unknowable" (referred to by St. Anselm as "That-Than-Which-Nothing-Greater-May-Be-Conceived"), (2) underlying similarities hidden behind apparently incompatible spiritualities, (3) the universal connection that transcends all individual distinction: a testament to the sacred bond shared by all of humanity & all of life & all of existence.

The Johns: Beta
There are strong correlations between: Love, Light, Life.
There are strong correlations between: Hate, Darkness, Death.
I began to read the Books of John, and by the second chapter, I noticed a pattern. They are a puzzle.
Key phrases include: "in the light," "born of God," "obey commandments," "abide," "love," "truth" and "anointed."
There's this overwhelming yet understated suggestion that "pursuing righteousness" is "belief," and "being Christlike" is "salvation."
It is my conclusion that it has nothing to do with theology, and everything to do with conduct.
"If we walk in the light, the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin. Whoever loves, lives in the light." (1 John 1:7-2:10)
"Whoever says, 'I am in the light,' while hating, still walks in the darkness, and does not know the way, because the darkness has brought on blindness."
"This is love: that we walk according to his commandments. This is his commandment: that we should love one another."
All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. Those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them."
"Everyone who does what is right is righteous." (1 John 3:7)
"Everyone who loves is born of God." (1 John 4:7)

The Johns: Alpha
We declare to you...what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands...we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us.
If we hide ourselves, we walk in darkness. There is no darkness in God. Those who have fellowship with God and with us walk in the light. Those who walk in the light do not hide themselves, but reveal their faults.
If we say we are without fault, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we say we are without fault, we make God a liar, and His Word is not in us.
If we walk in the light, the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin; he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 1:7-2:2
Now by this we may be sure that we know him, if we obey his commandments. Whoever says, "I have come to know him," but does not obey his commandments, is a liar, and in such a person the truth does not exist; but whoever obeys his word, truly in this person the love of God has reached perfection. By this we may be sure that we are in him: whoever says, "I abide in him," ought to walk just as he walked.
1 John 2:3-6
This passage says nothing about theology. It says, 'whoever lives it, is it.' Certainly, a non-christian can obey the commands just as easily as any christian. Conduct and theology are two separate things. Therefore a non-christian can "know him" and it is possible for a Christian to not "know him." Any atheist who is chrislike, who "walks as he walked" may claim to "abide in him." Thus, "belief in God" is not a requirement for "knowledge of God" nor is it a requirement for "abiding in Christ." Moreover, "the love of God has reached perfection" in such christlike people; that is, to "obey his word" is to "walk as he walked," not to adhere to some theology and tradition. In fact, not only is it entirely possible to obey they commands without theology, it entirely possible to obey the commands without even knowing what the commands are, or that there is even such a concept as God. Paul calls such people, "a law unto themselves."
Whoever says, "I am in the light," while hating a brother or sister, is still in the darkness. Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the light.
1 John 2:9-10
Love and Hate require no theology, yet they determine Salvation and Damnation.
But whoever hates another believer is on the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know the way to go, because the darkness has brought on blindness.
1 John 2:11
Let us remember that "believer" and "Christian" no longer mean the same thing. A Christian adheres to a theology and upholds a tradition. A believer lives a Christlike life. "Righteous" is a synonym for "Christlike." Hatred of the noble and good is blindness. The blind are the persecutors of the righteous.

Tales From The Tao: The Horse Breeder
Pen Lo had bred horses for the duke for many years. Now he was getting old and the duke asked him if there was anyone in his family who would be able to take over for him.
Pen Lo said, "You can tell a high-quality horse by looking at its muscles and appearance, but the best horses are the ones that cannot be judged by their appearance only. You must be able to see their inner nature. No one in my family has this ability, but I do know of one man who might be able to help you. He is a poor man who hauls wood and vegetables for a living yet he has the ability to differentiate the great horse from the merely good."
The duke was happy then and sent for the man and asked him to find him a special horse. The man was gone for three months and then sent word to the duke that he had found such a horse.
"What kind of horse is it?" asked the duke.
"It is a yellow mare," came the answer.
So the duke sent for the horse and it turned out to be a black stallion. He was angry then and sent for Pen Lo. "The man you sent me knows nothing about horses," he said. "He cannot even tell a mare from a stallion, never mind yellow from black."
Pen Lo's face lit up. "Ah," he said, "It is even better than I had hoped. His ability is now ten thousand times greater than mine. He has completely transcended judging a horse by its appearance and sees only its inner nature. When he looks at the horse he does not see a male or females or what color it is but instead to its very essence. In this way he can see the potential for greatness in a horse."
Indeed, when he had sent for the horse, the duke found that it was the greatest horse he had ever seen.

Ode To A French Kiss
Beautifully rose painted lips press together to form that familiar symbol of love. As soft as the pedals they resemble, they seem to cry out and beg for companionship. As love itself is born from its own and gently makes request, to partake can only lead to the inevitable longing for more. No man could ever possess the strength to resist. A Kiss knows this, and as part-angel & part-devil, cannot help but captivate the lustful nature of a lucky fool. Hugged between flowery moments of bliss, such bright smiles could only hope to be outdone by the shine of the warm summer sun.
But you my dear, are the Queen; a royalty, a divinity, to which all other kisses bow down, and yet aspire to be. You are as brilliant and eligant as the tongue after which you are named, yet you are wherever love may be. Sweeter than sugarcoated honey, smooth and often softer than silk, you perpetually leave behind a hint of the essence of your lovelust that instantly conjures the unquenchable desire for your immediate return.
Some say you have magic about you. I say it is magic how you defy the constraints of time. You cause it to fly. You could make an eternity of an instant, and pass in a heartbeat. And it is by that very token that you are the soul of mystery. How obvious it is that you come from the heavens. You so nonchalantly disregard all the rules to which all else is made slave. Your illustrious nature outshines earthly things, as the moon outshines the stars.
Impossible to master, except by those lucky two, who possess hearts so overwhelmed by the thought of each other's presence that they lose themselves, but not one another, in the naturally flawless motions of such pristine moments. They might always seem to be over a little too quickly, except for those which, by nature, surely could only grace a pair of true lovers—they last forever—and the end is nothing, only the possibility of beginning.
One Tasty Toadstool
One tasty toadstool, of unimaginable size,
Has brought the world, and all the cosmos, right before my eyes.
Such clarity’s a rarity, and most just cannot see,
How in truth, we can in fact, hallucinate reality.
So listen and I’ll tell you, what I have come to know with pride,
All that I have learned, upon my magic carpet ride.
Well, the way you move in space, leaves behind a hidden trace,
Of the heart you hold inside, and not the shadows where you hide.
The souls of men, revealed in time, without a button to rewind,
Are you so confident to say, you know and love, what you will find?
How bright the light illuminates, from the puritanic soul,
Tell me friend, do you still glow, or have you lost what use to show?
With good intentions, science mentions, that religion is a lie.
But with science, there's reliance, on imperfect human eyes.
Sometimes some things aren't seen in sight, known only to the heart.
No metaphoric allegory, that's the truth, at least a part.
So open up, inside to see, what no-mind understands:
That the true nature of God, can be found within our hands.
There's music playing all around, just waiting to be found.
But it takes more than ears to hear, the beauty of the sound.
The saddest song that ever played: the one with all the answered laid,
But only to be seen as strange, just silly words all rearranged.

The Gospel of Brutal Ice
- Tuesday
11:20pm
Christopher Paul
You mind if u point out that there are seven?
I. If I point out.
Is that cool? If I bring that up, or do u think it should remain hidden.
Hidden it is.
11:23pm
Brutal Ice
I know but the amount of my ancestors are way more than ten. Western philosophy is the reason why the world is destroyed, cannot blame one person or set of people but the ideology destroyed the values that were in place in America before Columbus. Just the fact that history is written by those in power is an example of this same ideology
11:24pm
Brutal Ice
My phone and its auto spell keeps giving me the wrong words.. technology I guess
11:26pm
Christopher Paul
All we are looking for is knowledge. All knowledge is good, if used properly. My question remains. If you cannot answer it clearly, you have learned nothing from your ancestors. Yes or no, in your opinion, should I point out that there are seven?
11:27pm
Brutal Ice
Only seven ideas or people who speak theories?
11:29pm
Christopher Paul
What? I asked about people who philosophize. Wise men. Teachers. Thinkers. Everyone you named, in my opinion, counts. Answer me clearly, Yes or No. Should I point it out?
11:29pm
Brutal Ice
Yes. But I am confused
11:30pm
Christopher Paul
Ha. Well. Try answering the first question. Logos vs. Theories. But this is for your own self awareness. I don't need to know the answers, YOU DO!
11:31pm
Brutal Ice
I guess we are on different levels
11:31pm
Christopher Paul
I'm here to level people up.
11:40pm
Brutal Ice
I don't see logos vs theories, what I see is our time is short in the physical. Our bodies are our own temples and we should treat them as such. Someone else's knowledge and theories cannot make a person act a certain way or think in a certain manner. But belief through experience is the best teacher, even this conversation is experience. We are building on a subject that I don't know many that would openly attempt. For that I am grateful because it is times like these that almost slow time. When deep thought is meet with reaction u get the end result. Building, but with out destroying there can never be gain. This is why our physical form is precious, but there are two parts that make us. Only one half is physical, the spirit side never dies. And at times it can over take the physical. Now I am not saying we can all experience this but trust me it is possible. Our minds make the biggest enemy to our growth in both parts of what make us. Our minds set boundaries and divide people in general. It created and perceives the differences in religion. But the two parts that make us will not be changed by our minds separations. All I know for fact is that which I stated first I don't see this vs that because life is to short and too precious.
11:41pm
Brutal Ice
Sorry for the novel but yea that's my response
11:45pm
Christopher Paul
The point is to see where your focus is. The one you can name more of has more of your focus. The fact that it is logos vs. theories is arbitrary. Just that theories serve your interest (your own knowledge, awareness, understanding, awakening), and logos serve someone else's (the ones trying to sell you something). Materialism is fine, IF IT DOESN'T DISTRACT YOU. But it is nearly impossible to Not Be Distracted. For this reason, He said: it is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
11:47pm
Brutal Ice
We have had this conversation before. At a different time a different place. Open minded is what u are suggesting in simpler terms
Are u a chosen one?
11:49pm
Christopher Paul
Not bad. But there is so much smoke and mirrors. Remember this: remove your splinter. Right now, so many are enslaved to consumption and don't know it.
11:50pm
Brutal Ice
I know this is the chase the carrot thing where the world shows u what u should be but at what real cost.. disgusting because I fell into that trap for many years if my own life
11:50pm
Christopher Paul
Everyone asks that. No. Potentially ANYONE and EVERYONE is the chosen one. Humanity is the chosen one. We are all trying to be one person. One of us did. He left, so we could begin.
11:52pm
Brutal Ice
I recently received my Indian name.. in my culture this is the name of the spirit that guides me and also the responsibilities I must uphold, a high honor that most receive as children but I didn't get mine till I was 33.. can u guess what mine translates to?
11:52pm
Christopher Paul
We all have the divine spark. We all know that. We've heard it our entire lives. Right now, I've turned my spark into a fire. I can give you the fire, only because it was given to me. I AM NOT THE SOURCE OF THE FIRE.
All I know is: my legal birth name is Little Christ-Bearer. Christopher Paul.
11:55pm
Brutal Ice
My born given name is Vincent Paul Iceman sr. But my Indian name translates to "man who walks on water" I have never heard of one single person receiving such a straight forward name. The reason I asked if u was a chosen one is because there are more
Well the sr came after I had my junior
11:59pm
Christopher Paul
There are lots. Before and after. That's funny, my adopted brother's name is Vincent James.
Wanna hear something cool?
12:00am
Brutal Ice
My little brothers name is Leslie james..
Yea what's that?
12:03am
Christopher Paul
After the resurrection, no one could recognize Jesus. Why? It had only been three days. How could so many people forget the face of someone like that after THREE DAYS? Answer: he was wearing a new cloak. Translation: "Just as a man might wear out many cloaks before he dies, the soul might use up many bodies before it dies." - Plato
12:05am
Christopher Paul
You know I'm leaving Facebook. Get twitter. I've been covering all of this all day long.
And for the Love Of Christ, never confuse spirituality with sexuality. Or don't even bother.
12:07am
Brutal Ice
Yea I seen that, sorry but I was surprised that I even have face book. I doubt I ever go down the twitter road, i see enough garbage in Facebook I can't imagine what's on twitter.. I can't imagine people having twitter wars over other people's lives and such.
How does one mistake the one for the other?
Physical is impossible to reach spiritually unless induced by sacrifice like a fast or deep meditation.. the two halves of what make us are divided for a reason
12:10am
Christopher Paul
Twitter is Silk Road. How well do you know your history. If you meet the right people, it's a place to exchange ideas. I ignore the warring people. What I am doing is a team sport, not a competition. Ya know Buddha travelled the Silk Road.
12:11am
Brutal Ice
Yea I hear that too. The one road I can relate to is the trail of tears
12:11am
Christopher Paul
The difference is that, while both Good and Evil speak in metaphor, one is hinting at spirit, the other is hinting at sex.
12:12am
Brutal Ice
Ok I see totally what u saying now
12:13am
Christopher Paul
Sex isn't bad. When you find the right woman. It's all good. But just don't become preoccupied with it. I figured you'd see that. But again. Sex sells. And we are attempting to break off the chains of consumerism.
Consumerism is the first chain. There are more.
We need knowledge and character, which, in truth, are one.
12:14am
Brutal Ice
Its more of a distraction than anything.. can u imagine how our great grand parents would feel about how the world sells it self so short?
12:14am
Christopher Paul
Yes, a distraction! Exactly!!!
A constant and powerful distraction.
12:15am
Brutal Ice
Yea and that same distraction cause horrible actions by people who become consumed by it
12:15am
Christopher Paul
The light can only whisper thru it. But when you look for it, you'll hear it loud and clear with your own eyes and ears.
Exactlyx
12:16am
Brutal Ice
Light, Love and Power..
12:16am
Christopher Paul
They are mindless consumers. We need awareness. Which is Buddhahood.
The power of light is like your nose. It is RIGHT THERE. But you forget, because you are looking elsewhere.
Your brain choses to ignore it bc it thinks other things are more important.
But the nose is front and center. It literally keeps you alive at every minute. Breathing. Have you noticed you were breathing during this whole conversation. Or had you forgotten about breathing?
12:19am
Brutal Ice
Breathing is non essential for the brain until u make ur brain aware of it.. when I used to smoke trees I would get so bad that I would make myself forget to breathe
It would be like saying dam heart stop pumping my blood.. lol
12:21am
Christopher Paul
Lol. Everyone thinks I'm high. That's water into wine, high on life. I'm stone cold sober. What you are seeing is what He said you receive after being born again.
Again. Breathing is NECESSARY for life.
You have only forgotten it. Because you took it for granted.
12:22am
Brutal Ice
So is the pumping of our blood but we cannot consciously tell it to stop the same as breathinf
12:24am
Christopher Paul
Right. That's why I picked the breathing analogy, because the blood doesn't fit. It's not genetics, it's memetics. It's not the body, it's the psyche.
The spirit is too subtle to be captured by matter.
But breathing INVOLVES YOU. Yes, you are right, many of us have forgotten to breathe.
Many of us are kept junkied up like European sex
slaves.
We are a culture of MASS HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
12:26am
Brutal Ice
That's a good way to put it
12:27am
Christopher Paul
Again. The first chain is consumerism. But it is as easy to break as remembering how to breathe.
I have to go. Peace, brother.
12:28am
Brutal Ice
Consumerism with money that is actually fiat currency. No real value, no real consequence when the natural resources that humans have ran thru took millions of years to create.. yea man later
Peace
12:30am
Christopher Paul
For the record. I'm speaking figuratively and literally at once. All the religious imagery is used to glorify the true natural state of humanity. We have gotten off track.
12:31am
Brutal Ice
No doubt
